Heroes -- Monday July 26th, 2010
We want to honor some very special people who have helped the shelter this week. Dr. Joe Anderson and the anesthesia team at the Bath Vet Clinic saved a one pound kitten with a diaphragmatic hernia. They work hard every day to save our animals and bring them back to health, but this was a very special miracle to us all. Thank you Dr. Joe, Dr. Ben, Tammy, Kayla, Amanda, Ryan and Raymond for everything you do!
We'd also like to thank Bill Philyaw who helps at the shelter five days weekly caring for our animals. Today he did something extra special - he helped save a little puppy who had his head stuck in a tire rim. When it looked like the puppy might have to be put down, Bill very patiently worked to free it. He (and a lot of vegetable oil!) saved the day!!
Items Needed! -- Friday July 16th, 2010
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer! The shelter is in need of towels and sheets. Items can be dropped off anytime during the open hours or left at the front door. Thanks!
Fosters needed! -- Sunday May 9th, 2010
Our animal shelter was recently stressed to the breaking point when a family moved from Menifee County leaving 25 sick and shy dogs. We are desperately trying to find fosters who could help socialize and care for these animals. All medical care and dog food will be provided - all you provide is the time and the love! If you are interested, please contact the shelter at 768-9368, leave a message and we'll get right back to you!
Newspapers needed! -- Sunday April 4th, 2010
The shelter uses a lot of newspapers daily to care for the animals. If you have newspapers to get rid of, we can use them! Deliver them to the shelter any morning from 7:30 to 10am. Thank you for supporting the Menifee County Animal Shelter
